THE CHAMBER Educational Foundation is a 501c3 organization that is managed by THE CHAMBER of Commerce, Inc. Established June 1, 1991, the Foundation raises money for student, adult and entrepreneur scholarship programs as well as grants for local non-profit organizations. Additionally, the Foundation provides educational programs to members of THE CHAMBER and residents of the communities we serve, many of which are free of charge.
The primary mission of the THE CHAMBER Educational Foundation is to provide scholarships to area high school students as well as to area entrepreneurs. An additional focus is to provide educational resources to area businesses and their employees. Currently, we offer our Women in Business University Levels I & II, our veteran employment program Transition Forward, our CHAMBER classroom which for 2013 will be focused on technology and social media and our Institute for Professional Excellence. These are educational programs to help encourage cooperation and assist with resources.
Additionally each year we host a Job Fair with complimentary programing on workforce development and a Non-Profit Conference. All of our educational programs are geared toward professional and workforce development as we believe that a professional and well educated workforce is an important driver of our region’s economic development.
We also provide a Business Resource Center as well as incubator space for small business start-ups.
